How to Apply Your Press-On Nails

A flawless application begins with proper prep. Choose the wear method that fits your plans, then follow the steps below.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

  1. Wash and completely dry your hands.
  2. Gently push back your cuticles.
  3. Lightly buff away the shine from each natural nail.
  4. Remove all dust and oils with the included alcohol pad.
  5. Arrange your press-ons in order before applying.

OPTION 1: ADHESIVE TABS

Best for events, photos, or a temporary look. Wear time: approximately one day.

  1. Select a tab that fits your natural nail without touching the skin.
  2. Press the tab firmly onto your nail and smooth out any air bubbles.
  3. Remove the protective film.
  4. Align the press-on near the cuticle without touching the skin.
  5. Press firmly for 20–30 seconds.

Avoid water for at least one hour after application.

OPTION 2: NAIL GLUE

Best for short-term everyday wear. Wear time: up to three days with proper preparation.

  1. Apply a small, even amount of nail glue to your natural nail.
  2. Add a small drop inside the press-on nail.
  3. Align the press-on near the cuticle at a slight angle.
  4. Lower it slowly and press firmly for 30–60 seconds.
  5. Wipe away excess glue immediately without touching the skin.

Avoid water for at least two hours after application. Ideally, allow to fully dry overnight. 

OPTION 3: UV GEL APPLICATION

Best for extended wear. Wear time: two weeks or longer with proper preparation and application.

Follow all instructions included with your UV gel system. Keep uncured gel away from your skin and cure it completely for the recommended time. UV gel must only be used when the lamp’s light can fully reach and cure the gel beneath the press-on. Do not use this method with opaque or heavily decorated nails unless your product instructions specifically confirm that a complete cure is possible.

REMOVAL

Never force or pull off your press-ons.

Soak your nails in warm, soapy water with a small amount of oil. Allow the edges to loosen, then gently lift them with a wooden cuticle stick. Repeat the soak as needed. Glue and UV gel applications may require a longer or product-specific removal process.
